Salesforce Renames AIforce to SIforce After Trump Order
Originally reported by Salesforce Ben
Salesforce has renamed its AIforce platform to SIforce, following a public announcement by CEO Marc Benioff. The change reflects a growing discussion around “super intelligence,” a term the Trump administration is promoting as a replacement for artificial intelligence in federal government communications.
Benioff announced the change on October 9, posting on X: “The era of Super Intelligence is here. AIForce is officially SIForce.”
The announcement comes just weeks after Salesforce introduced AIforce at Dreamforce 2026. The platform was previously known as Headless 360, making SIforce the third name for the offering in approximately six months. Salesforce Ben reported that the company had not yet issued a formal announcement explaining whether the rebranding would involve any changes to the underlying technology.
A New Name, but What About the Technology?
AIforce was introduced as a way to make Salesforce's data, workflows and business logic accessible through different interfaces, including AI tools and Slack, rather than requiring users to work exclusively within the traditional Salesforce interface.
The latest name change follows a September 29 executive order from President Donald Trump directing federal agencies to use “Super Intelligence” and “SI” instead of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” in official communications. The order does not require every private company to adopt the terminology, making Salesforce's decision a notable development.
The rebranding also highlights a familiar frustration among Salesforce customers: frequent product name changes. Each new name can create confusion for administrators, implementation teams, trainers and end users who are trying to understand what a product does and how it fits into their existing systems.
What This Means for Sales Managers
For sales managers, the immediate question is whether the name change affects the tools their teams use or the way those tools operate. At this stage, Salesforce Ben's reporting does not establish that any underlying functionality has changed.
Managers should focus on practical capabilities rather than product names or marketing terminology. When evaluating AI tools, the important questions remain whether they reduce administrative work, improve access to customer information and help salespeople execute the sales process more effectively.
AI may continue to evolve rapidly, but successful adoption still depends on clear processes, appropriate technology and people who understand how to use it.
