P2 — Platform
Salesforce platform optimization
Technology should make selling easier, not harder.
Salesforce should feel intuitive, not overwhelming. We simplify page layouts, reduce unnecessary fields and clicks, streamline workflows, and design the platform around the way your sales team actually sells.
01 — The symptoms
When the CRM becomes the thing it was meant to replace.
Instead of making selling easier, many Salesforce environments accumulate years of well-intentioned customization until they become complex, frustrating, and difficult for sales teams to use effectively.
Common characteristics of over-engineered Salesforce platforms
- Too many required fields
- Overly customized
- Unnecessarily complex
- Too many clicks to complete simple tasks
- Confusing page layouts
- Long or irrelevant picklists
- Inconsistent page design and navigation
- Workflows that slow salespeople down instead of helping them
Simple systems get used. Complex systems get ignored.
We remove unnecessary complexity by simplifying page layouts, reducing clicks, streamlining workflows, and creating a Salesforce experience that's intuitive for salespeople while still providing management with the visibility they need.
Simplify page layouts
Show salespeople the fields that matter for the deal in front of them — and nothing else.
Reduce fields and clicks
Every unnecessary required field is a small tax on adoption, paid on every single record.
Streamline workflows
Automation should remove work from the seller, not add approval steps to their day.
Design around how you sell
The platform mirrors your defined sales process — not a template, and not the last admin's preferences.
02 — The audit
What our Salesforce experts evaluate.
A structured review of the whole environment — not just the parts that are easy to change. The output is an executive view of what to fix first, and why.
- 01 Configuration
- 02 User experience
- 03 Automation
- 04 Reporting
- 05 Dashboards
- 06 Data quality
- 07 Security
- 08 Permission settings
- 09 Overall usability
03 — Questions we get asked
Platform FAQs.
Will you rip out our existing Salesforce configuration?
No. We start with an evaluation, not a rebuild. Most environments have years of well-intentioned customization layered on top of each other; the job is to work out what still earns its place and what is quietly taxing adoption. Where appropriate, we simplify — we do not start over for the sake of it.
What exactly do you evaluate?
Configuration, user experience, automation, reporting, dashboards, data quality, security, permission settings and overall usability. The output is an executive view of what is helping your sales team, what is hindering them, and what we would change first.
Our reps say Salesforce is slow and clunky. Is that a platform problem?
Usually, yes — and it is rarely about server speed. It is too many required fields, too many clicks for simple tasks, confusing layouts and long picklists. Simple systems get used; complex systems get ignored. Reps are not resisting the CRM so much as routing around friction.
Do we still get management visibility if you simplify things?
That is the point. Simplification is about removing what does not serve selling or reporting — not about removing rigour. The goal is a Salesforce experience that is intuitive for salespeople while still giving management the visibility they need to forecast and coach.
Where this fits
All three pillars, or the one that's blocking you.
Process, Platform and People are interconnected — which is why fixing one in isolation usually disappoints. Every engagement starts with an assessment, and if one pillar is clearly the bottleneck, we say so.
Client results
Mark's clear and engaging presentation helped me better understand the platform's features, particularly how to effectively manage sales opportunities and track progress… I feel more confident using Salesforce to drive our team's success.
Mark's the man! He's the guy you want to bring in to train your Salesforce technical and business users. Very engaging, and presents lots of analogies that help learn abstract concepts.
Bill was extremely knowledgeable not only on the Salesforce side but also on Canon Medical's customized version of Salesforce modules. He did his homework very well. He kept the audience engaged throughout the session. Good work Bill!
