Launchpad: Your Step-by-Step Salesforce Setup Guide
Hi there. We are so glad that you've joined the Launchpad community. Our goal is to help you get the absolute most out of Salesforce, the world's most popular and most powerful CRM platform.
My name is Mark Christie, and I've been training Salesforce administrators and end users on Salesforce since 2009. I'm certified both as a Salesforce Administrator and a Sales Cloud Consultant, as well as a Prosci Certified Change Management Practitioner. I'll be your guide throughout this entire course.
The team that wrote this course has performed this exact implementation hundreds of times for Salesforce customers just like you. And now, we want to share that knowledge with you so you can complete it yourself and be self-sufficient for the inevitable changes in the future.
Salesforce is intended to grow as your company grows, and it is usually built in multiple phases. This course will ensure you have the right foundation in place for future growth and additions to your Salesforce system.
Now, does this course cover everything in Salesforce? Well, believe it or not, not even close. However, what this course does provide is a step-by-step series of video instructions designed to help you get Salesforce Sales Cloud ready for your users in a relatively short amount of time.
Instead of searching through vast amounts of articles on the web or paying a consultant upwards of $5,000 or even more to do this for you, we will show you exactly what to do and, even more importantly, the correct order in which to do it.
Now, although it will most likely just be you from your company going through this course, it is strongly recommended that you get feedback from the other users along the way to ensure that Salesforce is optimized for your company's needs.
Each lesson will follow a very standardized format. We'll start with an introduction to what you're about to learn in that lesson. Then, we'll move to a whiteboard to review some key concepts and important points on that particular topic, as well as a Salesforce Tip of the Day highlighting a key takeaway to remember.
Then, we'll take a tour inside Salesforce to walk you through, step by step, exactly what the administrator needs to do to set it up correctly for your business.
For your first viewing, we strongly urge you to follow the lesson plan in the order in which the lessons are presented, as each lesson builds upon the prior ones. As you complete each lesson in the course, you can always go back if you need to review something again.
If you find yourself stuck or want clarification on something, you can email us at [help@salesforcetraining.com](mailto:help@salesforcetraining.com), and a member of our support team will get back to you as soon as possible. We are happy to help with any topic, as long as it's covered in this course.
We will be adding new content each month so you can continue to take advantage of more Salesforce features. We'd love to hear any suggestions you might have, and you can email us with anything you'd like to see new videos on.
It's fantastic that you've decided to invest in Salesforce, and we will do our very best to help you be successful with it.
Now, let's get started.
